Potential Meth Lab Contamination at Issue in Jordan Cove LNG Zoning Change Approval
The Coos County Commissioners approved this week a zoning change for the Kentuck Golf Course, potentially allowing developers of the Jordan Cove LNG import project to flood part of the golf course for wetlands replacement. However, one commissioner voted against the plan, saying that contamination from a methamphetamine lab that was previously on the property could leach into Coos Bay if the property were flooded.
