Oregon LNG announced yesterday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Oregon Department of Energy, agreeing to mitigate its facility’s carbon dioxide emissions 17% beyond the best available technology. The company’s press statement says that the MOU also addresses the terminal’s emergency preparedness and the availability of funds to retire the facility with minimal impact on the environment.
