Infrastructure Siting Bill Remains in Oregon Senate Committee

H.B. 3058, a bill passed by the Oregon House of Representatives in May that could streamline the infrastructure siting process, including the development of LNG projects, remains in the Oregon Senate Rules Committee. The Forest Grove News Times (Ore.) reports that the Oregon Senate’s attention is focused on the state budget and one lawmaker backing the bill said that he likely will not have time to push for the infrastructure bill. The News Times notes that the legislative session ends on June 30, 2009.
