Clatsop County Planning Commission Unanimously Supports Zoning Change Along Pipeline Route
The Daily Astorian reports that the Clatsop County Planning Commission voted 5-0 yesterday to support a zoning change for a parcel of land along the proposed route of a natural gas pipeline associated with the Bradwood Landing LNG project. This piece of land was previously designated open space, parks, and recreation (OPR) but is now zoned for lake and wetland. In September, county voters approved a referendum that would prohibit natural gas pipelines from crossing OPR-zoned lands. The Planning Commission’s recommendation now must be considered and voted on by the Clatsop County Board of Commissioners.
