TransCanada CEO Says Broadwater LNG On “Back Burner”
TransCanada Corp. President and CEO Harold Kvisle said during an analysts conference call that its LNG projects, particularly the Broadwater LNG import terminal, are “on the back burner for the next little while.” According to Platts LNG Daily [subscription required], the company is conferring with Broadwater LNG project partner Shell to determine next steps following the U.S. Department of Commerce’s decision to uphold New York State’s finding that the project is inconsistent with the state’s federally approved Coastal Zone Management Plan.
