Op-Ed: Opposition to Columbia River LNG Projects Not Contradictory Despite Need for Natural Gas

An op-ed carried by the Hillsboro Argus (Ore.) argues that opposition to the proposed Bradwood Landing and Oregon LNG projects is not inconsistent with increasing natural gas use. The piece argues that expanding natural gas use does not necessarily require building LNG regasification terminals on the Columbia River and that U.S. domestic resources, including shale gas and methane generated from biomass, are better sources for natural gas than LNG imports.
