A report carried today by the Vancouver Sun provides further details on an agreement among a number of Canadian First Nations, the British Columbian government, and the developers of a pipeline associated with the Kitimat LNG export project. The Sun reports that the First Nations could receive up to $1 billion in profits, tax revenue, and economic development opportunities over the lifetime of the LNG project.
