Gazprom Secures Capacity at Energia Costa Azul LNG Terminal

Russian gas company Gazprom has purchased a share of Royal Dutch Shell’s regasification capacity at the Energia Costa Azul LNG import terminal on the Pacific coast of Baja California. The deal, worth $5 billion over 20 years, will allow Gazprom to commence shipping LNG supplies from the Sakhalin II liquefaction facility to the United States and other Pacific Basin markets.
