FERC Grants Extension of Time for Crown Landing LNG Project

This morning FERC granted Crown Landing LLC and Texas Eastern Transmission, LP an extension of time until June 20, 2010, to construct the proposed Crown Landing LNG import facility and associated pipeline. FERC notes that Crown Landing will have to reinitiate FERC’s prefiling process for any modifications to its previous proposed project if and when it has a new proposal. Crown Landing’s previously proposed facility was conditionally authorized by FERC but rejected by the State of Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation as an impermissible facility in Delaware waters.
