Bill Affecting LNG Terminal Development Moves Out of Committee in Oregon State House

A bill that would affect wetland removal and fill permits for land involved in Oregon utility projects, including LNG terminals, was voted out of the Oregon House of Representatives Sustainability and Economic Development Committee and into the Rules Committee without a recommendation. Dan Serres with Columbia Riverkeeper characterized H.B. 3058 as “a sneak attack by the LNG industry to make it much, much easier to get…pipelines.” Others disagree, describing the bill as neutral.
