Despite Challenges in 2008, NEB Remains Optimistic About Long-Term LNG Prospects
Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) released an Energy Market Assessment yesterday entitled “Liquefied Natural Gas, a Canadian Perspective,” which notes that the difficult global economic conditions will likely reduce the short-term demand for LNG in the North American market. However, the analysis also predicts that in the long-term, economic recovery and alternative energy policies may lead to an increase in North American LNG imports.
