Alaska Pipeline Developers Committed to Project Despite Market Uncertainties
BP and ConocoPhillips, the developers behind the Denali Pipeline project which would carry natural gas from Alaska’s North Slope to Alberta, said at a recent industry conference that they remain committed to the project despite current uncertainties in the energy markets. The developers noted that although their pipeline will have to compete with domestic gas and LNG supplies, that by the time the project is completed in 10 years, demand will be growing and prices will rise. Additional details are carried by the Alaska Journal of Commerce.
