Economists Predict Shale Development Could Diminish Need for U.S. LNG Imports for 20 Years
Platts LNG Daily reports that two economists from Rice University in Houston, Peter Hartley and Kenneth Medlock, told the U.S. Association of Energy Economists that they believe increased development of domestic natural gas shale reserves could diminish the need for U.S. LNG imports for up to 20 years.
