The Associated Press (carried via Al.com) reports that the Maritime Administration (MARAD) and the U.S. Coast Guard issued a letter questioning the National Marine Fisheries Service’s (NMFS) conclusions regarding potential effects on aquatic life near the proposed TORP Bienville LNG import project site. NMFS cited these potential effects in its recommendation that MARAD deny the application for the Bienville project.
