FERC Dismisses Quoddy Bay LNG Applications

Today FERC formally dismissed the applications of Quoddy Bay LNG LLC to build and operate an LNG import terminal and associated pipelines. FERC cited Quoddy Bay LNG’s failure to provide previously requested information and failure to offer further information regarding the possible changes to the project design. FERC’s letter order, available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP07-38, notes that this dismissal is without prejudice to Quoddy Bay LNG’s ability to file a new application, but that any new application will be examined as a new proceeding.
