United States to Provide Assistance for LNG Feasibility Studies in Lithuania, Romania
Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has agreed to provide more than $800,000 to the government of Lithuania to determine the feasibility of an LNG import terminal in that country. Platts also reports that the USTDA will provide approximately $1 million to Romanian gas firm Romgaz to study the feasibility of an LNG regasification terminal along the coast of the Black Sea.
