Concerned About Changes in Enforcement of Endangered Species Act
The Capital (Annapolis, Md.) reports that a number of groups opposed to the Sparrows Point LNG terminal are concerned that changes to the regulatory enforcement of the Endangered Species Act could allow the terminal to move forward more easily. A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of the Interior told the newspaper that the changes were designed to “remove a lot of the backlog and red tape … and to clarify existing definitions.”
