Massachusetts Gov. Signs LNG Siting Bill into Law

The Fall River Herald News (Mass.) reports that Gov. Deval Patrick (D-Mass.) has signed a bill into law that will require a 5,000-foot distance from the center of an LNG storage tank and a 1,500-foot distance from the hull of an LNG carrier to any residential home, retirement community, school, hospital, healthcare facility or business. The law applies to any LNG terminal facility constructed after January 1, 2007.
