Quoddy Bay LNG Seeks Delay in State’s Review of Its Proposal
Quoddy Bay LNG said in a statement released yesterday that it plans to postpone or temporarily withdraw its state application to construct and operate a regasification terminal from Maine’s regulatory review process. According to the Bangor Daily News, the company cited several factors, including determining imported LNG composition and the potential need for nitrogen facilities, co-locating transmission equipment in the same right-of-way as other proposed LNG terminals, and clarifying the status of its approval from the Bureau of Indian Affairs as the reasons for its request for a delay.
