Lloyd’s List reports on comments made by U.S. Coast Guard Commandant Thad Allen critical of H.R. 2830, the Coast Guard reauthorization bill passed by the House last week. The bill includes a provision that would require the agency to certify that sufficient safety and security resources are in place to protect LNG terminals and vessels in transit to a facility.
