Yesterday Southern LNG, a subsidiary of El Paso Corp. and operator of the Elba Island LNG import terminal, donated $35,000 to the City of Tybee, Ga., to help restore the city’s beach. Tybee Mayor Jason Buelterman noted that “[a]s a beneficiary of the Savannah River shipping channel,” Southern LNG is “committed to being a good neighbor and supporting Tybee.” WSAV offers additional coverage.
