FERC Suspends its Review of Proposed Quoddy Bay LNG Terminal

FERC announced today that it is suspending its review of the Quoddy Bay LNG terminal application. FERC Staff cited the developer’s inability to provide information regarding “proposed vaporizer revision as well as the safety and reliability of the proposed cryogenic transfer line.” FERC also notes that the developer has stated “that the project design may be altered further pending negotiations with LNG suppliers and investigation into the use of additional mitigation measures.” The letter notifying Quoddy Bay LNG of this action is available in FERC’s eLibrary under Docket No. CP07-35.
