Cool-Down Cargo Arrives at Freeport LNG Terminal

The Houston Chronicle reports that a cool-down cargo arrived yesterday at the Freeport LNG regasification terminal. Terminal owner Michael Smith told the Chronicle that the facility is scheduled to begin unloading the cargo on Thursday, and he anticipates that the facility will receive final authorization to begin regasification operations in five or six weeks. The Chronicle also offers opinions of several area residents on the location of the LNG terminal.
