In an op-ed carried by the Ventura County Star, Joe Desmond, a senior vice president of NorthernStar Natural Gas, says that a recent report released by Ratepayers for Affordable Clean Energy (RACE) criticizing LNG merely highlights the need to uniformly account for carbon emissions. Desmond goes on to argue that RACE’s report does not fully account for the “economic consequences to consumers” of rejecting LNG in favor of renewable sources of energy.
