An editorial published late last week by The Day (Conn.) offers support for Conn. Gov. M. Jodi Rell’s (R) opposition to the Broadwater Energy LNG regasification terminal proposed for Long Island Sound. The editorial refutes a statement by Broadwater’s regional project director, John Hritcko, Jr., which characterized the Governor’s opposition as “vitriolic and factually flawed.” It also refutes Hritcko’s claim that opponents do not account for the high costs of energy across the region, noting, “[t]hey pay for it every day.”
