Conn. Legislator: If Spitzer Resigns, Connecticut Must be Prepared to Deal with Successor on Broadwater

The Associated Press (via the Hartford Courant) reports that Connecticut State Senate President Donald Williams (D) will press his state to reach out to New York Lt. Gov. David Paterson (D)  regarding the Broadwater Energy LNG proposal should current Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D) resign. “Assuming there is a transition at some point in the near future, the new governor will have hundreds of issues on his desk and he’ll be required to get up to speed quickly. We can’t afford to drop the ball on Broadwater,” Sen. Williams said.
