Boston Firefighters’ Union Criticizes Mayor’s Emergency Planning

The Boston Globe reports that the Boston Firefighters’ Union has mailed fliers to 15,000 local residents near Boston Harbor criticizing Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s emergency planning. According to the report, the flier suggests that the Mayor has not adequately planned for a potential LNG incident. City officials disputed the claim, telling the Globe that a detailed security and evacuation plan has been developed.
