Asian Consortium May Be Frontrunner for Proposed Manzanillo LNG Project

Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that two anonymous sources confirmed that Terminal KMS de GNL, a joint venture of Mitsui, Samsung and KOGAS, offered the lowest bid and  may  be the frontrunner to win the tender to build and operate a proposed LNG import terminal in Manzanillo, Mexico. However, the sources cautioned that the winning bid must meet all the technical specifications for the project. The Mexican Comision Federal de Electricidad is expected to announce the winning bid on March 10.
