Sempra CEO: Company Contemplating Liquefaction Investment
LNG Unlimited [subscription required] reports that Sempra Energy CEO Don Felsinger said in a conference call that his company is contemplating investment in liquefaction facilities. He said that Sempra would consider opportunities that include gas marketing rights, noting, “We want a disproportionate share of the off-take to market.” Felsinger also confirmed that Sempra’s Energia Costa Azul terminal is on track for start-up in the second quarter of 2008 and that the company’s Cameron LNG facility is 75% complete and expected to commence operations in early 2009.
