Oregon Secretary of State Opposes LNG
Bill Bradbury, the Oregon Secretary of State, is the first high-ranking state executive to express firm opposition to the construction of any LNG terminals in Oregon. At a global warming forum held on Wednesday, Bradbury stated he thinks LNG facilities would take Oregon “180 degrees in the wrong direction.” Bradbury’s stance against LNG appears to put him on the opposite side of the debate from Governor Ted Kulongoski (D) who recently expressed cautious support for LNG as a “bridge resource.” The Oregonian provides more details.
