No Agreement Reached on Broadwater LNG Proposal
A deal offered by a local New York official which would see Governor Eliot Spitzer (D -N.Y. ) oppose the proposed Broadwater LNG facility if Connecticut dropped its opposition to the proposed Islander East gas pipeline was rejected by Governor M. Jodi Rell (R-Conn.). Newsday reports that a spokesperson for Gov. Rell said she “has no interest trading one project with a severe negative impact on the Long Island Sound for another.”
