Chairman of New York Assembly’s Environmental Committee Opposes Broadwater LNG
Citing “numerous economic, environmental and safety issues,” New York Assemblyman Robert Sweeney (D), chairman of the Environmental Committee, announced that he is opposed to the Broadwater LNG proposal. John Hritcko, Broadwater’s senior vice president, responded to the announcement and stated that Assemblyman Sweeney’s position “goes against the facts and ignores the billions of dollars in energy savings.” Newsday carries the story.
