Local Groups File Transcripts of State Hearings to Show Downeast LNG Project Has Stalled
Nulankeyutomonen Nkihtahkomikumon (We Take Care of Our Land), Save Passamaquoddy Bay-U.S., and Save Passamaquoddy Bay-Canada, Inc., filed the transcripts of several hearings concerning the Downeast LNG project convened by Maine’s Board of Environmental Protection, as well as brief summaries of each proceeding. The groups conclude that Downeast’s statements to FERC are inconsistent with its statements and actions before the BEP, including Downeast’s statement that none of its currently proposed alternative pipeline routes are workable. The filing is available in FERC’s eLibrary under Docket No. CP07-52.
