California Energy Commission Report Predicts Lower Gas Prices in Short Term
Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that the California Energy Commission’s 2007 Integrated Energy Policy Report predicts that natural gas prices for California consumers will fall in the short term, but rise to $7/Mcf by 2017. The report also predicts that the Energia Costa Azul terminal, expected to send regasified LNG into San Diego, will operate at 70% of its planned 2.5 Bcf/d capacity by 2015.
