Oregon Governor Encourages State Agencies to Closely Examine LNG Proposals
In a policy memo obtained by the Daily Astorian, Gov. Ted Kulongoski (D-Ore.) encourages state agencies to examine LNG proposals closely, but signaled his openness to pursuing LNG as part of the state’s future energy portfolio. The governor’s natural resources expert indicated that the governor does not have a position on the Bradwood Landing LNG proposal, but that “he’ll be weighing in” before the December 24, 2007 deadline for filing comments on the project at FERC.
