Costa Azul Terminal May Link North America to Asian Gas Markets

Darcel Hulse, president and CEO of Sempra LNG, told Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] that the company is “excited about the opportunity to understand the interconnectivity of North America and the Asian [natural gas] market” as the company’s Energia Costa Azul LNG terminal comes online in 2008. Hulse noted that Sempra’s two LNG regasification terminals, Energia Costa Azul and Cameron LNG, will give the company access to both Atlantic and Pacific basin LNG markets.
