Tax Revenue from Bradwood Landing LNG Could Change School Funding
The Daily Astorian reports that if the Knappa School District in Oregon changes its district boundaries, the school district could capture additional revenue from the Bradwood Landing LNG terminal that might enable the schools to rely on local funding rather than state funds. When combined with increased timber revenues that would result from the proposed redistricting, the school district’s tax revenues could surpass a threshold that would allow the district to rely solely on local funds while increasing the level of funding for its schools.
