An editorial in the Gloucester County Times refutes claims that New Jersey’s decision to seek adjacent state status in the Safe Harbor Energy LNG proceedings before MARAD is inconsistent with its challenge to Delaware’s authority to block the construction of the Crown Landing LNG project in Logan Township. The paper says this is an “apples to oranges” comparison because Delaware has arbitrarily opposed the Crown Landing project while New Jersey is only claiming a right to “weigh in with extensive environmental and safety reviews the kind that Delaware did not do before it tried to kill the Logan facility.”
