Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that, in recent years, Nevada has seen a significant rise in natural gas consumption, prompting Nevada’s Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Chairperson to propose a summit on the issue with gas utility officials, the PUC, and its staff. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Nevada energy officials may seek gas supplies from LNG terminals in Mexico and Canada.
