Midwest Utility May Join Global LNG Market

Platts LNG Daily reported Friday that Michigan utility DTE Energy hopes to participate in the global LNG market and may pursue long-term supply contracts and seek opportunities for arbitrage. DTE vice president Mark Stiers told Platts that he believes state regulators would support DTE’s LNG plans as an extension of its involvement in domestic natural gas markets. [Subscription required]
