Fall River Bridge Blocking LNG Project has Troubled History

The Boston Globe traces the recent political history surrounding the Brightman Street Bridge in Fall River, Mass. The bridge, over one hundred years old and slated for demolition in the mid-1990s, is still in use and scheduled for further repairs as a means to prevent the construction of the Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal. The size of the bridge would not allow large LNG vessels to  reach the proposed site for the terminal.
