County Officials Approve Bradwood Landing Terminal Subject to Conditions
The Daily News (Longview, Wash.) and the Daily Astorian (Astoria, Ore.) report that the Clatsop County Planning Commission has voted to approve the Bradwood Landing LNG terminal, subject to a number of conditions. According to critics of the terminal, the Commission, rejecting the recommendation of its staff to oppose the project, approved several controversial measures, including classification of the terminal as a “small to moderate” marine industrial project for zoning purposes. A NorthernStar Natural Gas executive expressed confidence that the project would move forward, saying, “We got approval on everything except where we’re going to put our soil disposal area.”
