Conoco CEO Cautions Against Counting on LNG Imports to Offset Declining North American Gas Production
Speaking to World Gas Intelligence, ConocoPhillips chairman and chief executive Jim Mulva cautions industry analysts against counting on LNG imports to offset declining North American natural gas production. Mulva cites available LNG volumes and project delays as difficulties bringing LNG projects online and notes that although Conoco owns 1 Bcf/d of capacity at the Freeport LNG regasification terminal in Texas, the company has yet to line up firm LNG supply commitments.
