Two Labor Groups Support Bradwood Landing LNG Proposal
The Daily News (Longview, Wash.) reports that the Washington and Oregon Machinists Councils have endorsed the Bradwood Landing LNG terminal proposed by NorthernStar Natural Gas. A union representative stated that the Councils support the employment opportunities offered by the proposal, as well as the LNG industry’s “good, environmentally sound track record.” In a statement issued by NorthernStar, the president of the Washington Machinists Council said that the developer has established a training program at Clatsop Community College to teach local workers the skills needed to construct and operate the terminal.
