Dow Jones reports (via CNNMoney.com) that the U.S. Senate voted down an amendment proposed by Benjamin Cardin (D-Md.) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) to the comprehensive energy bill under consideration in the Senate this week. The amendment would have required the Army Corps of Engineers to receive approval from the affected state’s governor before issuing permits for the construction of any proposed LNG terminal. Sen.
