Foreign Workers Ease Sabine Pass Construction Labor Shortage

Bechtel Corporation, the construction management company for Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal, announced that it has hired some workers from the Philippines to alleviate a shortage of skilled industrial labor for  the project. Citing the strong demand for repair work after Hurricane Rita, a Bechtel spokesperson said that it has been challenging to find enough local labor to meet the project’s needs. The Beaumont Enterprise (Tex.) provides further details.
