Suppliers and End-Users Criticize FERC Gas Quality Decision
NGI Daily Gas Price Index (carried via LexisNexis) reports that LNG suppliers and end-users are criticizing FERC’s recent decision regarding gas quality standards for Florida Gas Transmission’s pipeline. Suppliers claim that the gas quality standards will limit LNG imports, while certain end-users argue that FERC’s decision should have included mitigation for costs incurred by customers who modify their equipment to accommodate the range of gas quality permitted by the new standards. FERC’s decision is available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. RP04-249.
