NEB: Summer Gas Prices and Supply Should Remain Stable

In its 2007 Summer Energy Outlook, Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) reports that “LNG imports into the [United States] were about 50% higher in January to April compared to the same period last year.” NEB attributes the increase to mild weather in Europe and relatively higher prices in North America. NEB predicts that North American gas prices will remain in the $6-8/MMBtu range throughout the summer. Platts LNG Daily provides additional coverage. [Subscription required]
