Expert: Access to Global LNG Supplies Major Factor in U.S. Market
James Diemer, the managing director of Pace Global Energy, told attendees at the 6th Annual Platts LNG Conference that there will be a second wave of projects to expand U.S. LNG regasification capacity, which will likely come in the form of expansions to existing terminals. In the short-term, Diemer predicted that, because global liquefaction capacity is growing more slowly than U.S. regasification capacity, access to global supplies will be the biggest challenge to development of the U.S. LNG market.
