The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that LNG imports for the past quarter were 47% above last year’s first-quarter volumes; this increase was due in part to a colder-than-average first quarter. The EIA forecasts that Henry Hub spot gas prices for the year will average $7.83/Mcf, a 25-cent increase from its previous estimate and an 89-cent increase over last year’s average price.
